Senior Big Data Engineer
Due to the significant expansion of our activities, we are looking for an experienced Data Engineer who will join our team in Belgrade and work on our lates product – an insights platform for Telco industry.
The scope of your job is:
- Implementing and developing of Big Data solutions and components (Ceph, Apache Spark, ElasticSearch, Kafka, NoSQL and RDBMS databases)
- Developing collection layer components and integration with data sources
- Fine tuning, troubleshooting and maintenance
- Spark job writing (In Scala)
- Preparing data for the presentation layer
- 5+ years of relevant domain with 10 years of overall software development experience
- Good knowledge of distributed systems
- Good Python, Scala (or Java) knowledge
- Good Spark knowledge
- Good SQL knowledge
- Basic knowledge of Linux OS
- Understanding of the concepts of distributed systems (storage and processing)
- Shell Scripting
- Polars
- RabbitMQ, Kafka
- Fluent in English
- Self-driven
- Highly collaborative approach to work, with ability to drive initiatives independently if needed
- Growth mindset and continuous learning

- Experience with agile frameworks is a plus
