After a successful implementation carried out in several phases, Telenor Serbia now has the most modern Data Lake platform at its disposal, which will enable it to analyze the incredible volume of various data generated by several systems in real time. The implementation was carried out by Ibis Solutions, one of the leading domestic companies in this domain, whose team of experts has been working on the development of Big Data technology since 2014.
The primary purpose of this method of data processing is to create a broader picture that until now could not be obtained by monitoring only a certain type of parameters, and which allows operators to see in real time space for improvement of any business domain. This practically means that sectors such as customer service, sales, marketing or strategic planning will have access to data from the network and technical departments that they did not have before, in an understandable format from which they can easily see potential problems before they occur and have a preventive effect in order to improve the customer experience. Also, this system has an incredibly large application in the planning of sales activities, providing insights into customer habits and thus helping the company to optimize the commercial time of sales staff.

The focus of the Big Data technology on which Data Lake is based is the processing of a large volume of different data in order to track trends that help operators improve their service and provide a superior user experience. In this regard, it is very important to emphasize that the entire project was implemented in accordance with the Law on Personal Data Protection and GDPR and that special attention was paid to ensure that all data are depersonalized or cannot be used without the consent of users.
